Diary of a DJ marks the debut studio album from Memphis-based artist, radio host, and creator DJ Ms. Hypnotique. Released March 31, 2025, through SCM Entertainment, the project announces her as a driving force in modern Southern hip-hop.
Executive curation by SCM Entertainment CEO Jay Shields and production by Memphis collaborator Goliath Beatz (Goliath Da Goat) shape the album’s sonic foundation. The 16-track, 48-minute project moves through aggressive club bangers, high-energy hustle anthems, and raw, introspective moments that document her journey from the ground up. SCM Entertainment released a companion project, Diary of a DJ Radio Mixes, simultaneously to serve club and radio DJs.
The album opens with “Diary of a DJ Poem,” a poetic intro that sets the tone for everything that follows. Flagship solo cut “GIANT” celebrates her stature as a five-foot giant and stands as her breakout statement. “Feelings” brings in Three 6 Mafia affiliate and rap pioneer La Chat for one of the album’s heaviest collaborations. JRilla Da Great appears on the gritty street cuts “Ooze” and “Rain,” and again on “Sway LOC Remix” alongside TBoss, a regional anthem with serious reach. Ezy Lundon drives the energy on “Built Different,” and “Big Hyp (Outro)” closes the record with the same weight it carried throughout.
